The Muppets Take Mahoning 4: Christmas In July-ish!

Oh come all ye Muppet faithful, to the little town of Lehighton, Pa as once again The Muppets Take Mahoning!

On Saturday, August 1st, let your bells jingle at The Mahoning Drive-In Theater. In association with THE BARRETTA BROTHERS VODCAST PODCAST, we proudly present MUPPETS TAKE MAHONING 4! It’s a special “Christmas In July-ish” celebration of fleece, foam and fandom with Jim Henson and The Muppets on 35mm!

Join us for themed Muppet vendors (including us), costume contests, a Muppet sing-along at intermission, and a variety show that puts YOU in the spotlight before sundown (sign-ups coming soon)!

The sun may set on the lot, but it never sets on the fun, as our projectors fire up to present the marvelously merry, the magnificently memorable, THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL (1992), our fine felty friends’ take on the Dickens holiday classic, with Michael Caine as Scrooge, directed by Brian Henson, and featuring songs written by Paul Williams!

We follow that up with a super-secret second feature, holiday-themed and filled with fuzzy friends, presented digitally.

So break out your puppet pals, practice your public performance pieces, and get ready to get warm and fuzzy with Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo and the gang, when we celebrate Christmas in July…ish with the Muppets and the Barretta Brothers Vodcast Podcast!

Gates open at 6pm, showtime at sundown.

In 1977, Star Wars blasted on the big screen forever changing cinema (and merchandising) as we know it. A few years later "the stars of Star Wars" blasted into the Muppet Theater changing the crew of the Swine Trek for 3 minutes.

Muppet Stuff's 14th Anniversary!

The Muppet Stuff Blog turns 14 today!

To say it's been a wild ride is an understatement. What started as a just a Facebook page in 2012 has grown into a blog, Instagram, YouTube channel, and more.

We've been fortunate to meet so many friends, fellow fans, and other collectors over the years and if you're interested in showing off "Your Stuff" reach out to us and help us share your collection with our fellow fans. 

Not only do we want you to share you collection, we want to help you build your collection and it's been a great joy to see the delight as fellow fans find pieces they've been looking for.

This past year has been pretty busy and by far one of the highlights was our fan centric gatherings for The Museum of the Moving Image's Jim Henson Birthday Celebration and our Muppets Take Mahoning series at the Mahoning Drive-In. (If you haven't joined us yet, here's a peak at what your missing)

2026 has been even busier and we've expanded our vending schedule.
Below is our schedule from May - September and we're looking at adding even more events!

Disney Teases Rock ‘n’ roll Rollercoaster Muppet Props!

Walt Disney Imagineering launched "Pardon Our Pixie Dust," a brand new YouTube series that goes behind the scenes of the latest Disney attractions and experiences.  In the very first episode they show us the some of the props being used for The Muppets upcoming Rock 'n' Rollercoaster takeover. 

Ben Cooper, Associate Prop Decorator, take us through The Muppet segment at the 1:27 mark which we've linked to below:

As you can see there are many props that give nods to props from previous Muppet productions including the POP OFF billboard,

and the metal plumber Gonzo from The Muppet Movie, 

and Gonzo's hat from The Muppet Christmas Carol.

There's also this pair of pajamas,

A Great Gonzo banner and cape,

and a crate full of Gonzo's weird stuff which used to be in Muppet Vision pre-show area. 

While it's great to see these details and easter eggs, please note that these are recreations and not the actual props used in the films.

Crank the Volume! Muppet Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Set list and Opening Date Announced!

The Muppets are almost ready to move into Rock 'n' Roller Coaster as the set list and opening date have been announced!

Disney Parks Blog announced this morning that The Muppets will officially take over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster May 26th! 

In a little over a month, guests at Hollywood Studios will be whisked through Hollywood helping the Electric Mayhem get to their "one night only gig"

Earlier this week Disney had social media previews of the first two songs and revealed some of of the posters that will be seen in the que and now they've officially released even more!

As you can see below Animal is especially excited about the upcoming opening

But that's not all, guests will spot celebrity cameos woven throughout the experience, starting in the queue and continuing through the merch shop.

Inside the ride you'll hear the "Thunderously Loud" tunes from The Electric Mayhem teamed up with some of rock’s biggest names "designed to crank the adrenaline from the loading zone to the final brake run."

Love Rollercoaster – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove

Walking on Sunshine – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson

Yes. Camilla, Jennifer Hudson, Questlove, Kelly Clarkson, and Def Leppard all get equal billing and are ready to rock out. 

Our sources tell us that the ride music used will be similar to EPCOT's Guardians of the Galaxy ride, and will be vary on each ride.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets officially opens May 26 and Disney has teased  even more surprises are still to come!

Muppets Tease Rock N' Roller Coaster Posters, Setlist, Opening, and More!

The Muppets teased the opening of their upcoming takeover of Rock n' Roller Coaster with a flurry of news. 

Disney Parks posted this posted this teaser image of a ATA instrument case adorned with stickers featuring Kermit, roots, a stage light, L and K with a lighting bolt, green leopard spots, and Original Idol. Could those be clues to songs or other parts of the attraction?
 

They also posted this video of Animal trying to read an announcement, without any luck.

They also revealed one of the songs The Electric Mayhem will be covering for the attraction is  "Song 2" by Blur.

 

At the same time Disney held an exclusive influencer event in NYC where they showed off the posters for the attraction. Hey.Arthur.nyc was lucky to attend and snapped these photos.

 

So in addition to the band it looks like Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and Scooter "and more" are  confirmed to appear.  

But that's not all, Disney Parks  also posted a countdown clock for the announcement of the reopening date and the full setlist for the early morning of Thursday, April 16th.

So we should know A LOT more on Thursday! Get ready to ROCK, because The Muppets take over Rock n' Roller Coaster VERY soon!
