Jim Henson Funko Pop! Image and Release Date!

We first learned that Jim Henson was getting this own Funko Pop! in October, right before NY Toy Fair in February we got our first look at the concept art for the figure, and today we have not only our first look at the actual figure, but the release date as well!

Check out the first image of the figure below:
and compare it to the original concept art:

It looks like we'll be getting a older, greyer Jim than we were originally shown, but that's OK.

Funko's Jim Henson Pop! figure will be released August 14, 2019 and can be pre-ordered now from Amazon.

We expect the Target exclusive variant with Ernie to be released around the same time, but we'll keep you posted.

Coming Soon: The Importance of Being Ernie (and Bert)!

From the folks who brought us Cookie Monster's "The Joy of Cookies" and Oscar the Grouch's "The Pursuit of Grouchiness" comes the latest Sesame Street self help book "The Importance of Being Ernie (and Bert)"

The eternal question: Are you a Bert or an Ernie? You’ll find out thanks to The Importance of Being Ernie (and Bert). And this book will show you how to be best friends with those who wear their stripes a little differently.

Bert and Ernie have been friends and roommates on Sesame Street for decades, despite very different approaches to life’s challenges and joys. One collects jokes, the other collects paperclips. One loves pigeons, the other his Rubber Duckie. One sees the bathtub half-full, the other needs to empty it so he can give it a good scrub. But they both agree that having a best buddy is worth all the daily ups and downs.

There are no better experts on living together and learning together. Their guide to friendship will make the perfect gift for any Bert or Ernie in your life.

"The Importance of Being Ernie (and Bert)" will be released on Jim Henson's birthday, September 24th, and can be pre-ordered now through Amazon.

Coming Soon: The Muppet Christmas Carol: The Illustrated Holiday Classic!

27 years after it's initial release The Muppet Christmas Carol is getting an illustrated children's book.

"The Muppet Christmas Carol: The Illustrated Holiday Classic" is being written by Brooke Vitale with illustrations by Luke Flowers.

Here is the official description:

This holiday season, relive the beloved musical film The Muppet Christmas Carol—now an illustrated storybook!
The classic holiday film The Muppet Christmas Carol comes to life in this illustrated storybook for kids. Narrated by The Great Gonzo as Charles Dickens, with help from his pal Rizzo the Rat, this fully illustrated children’s book retells the classic story of the beloved original film starring Michael Caine as Scrooge, Kermit the Frog as Bob Cratchit, and Miss Piggy as Mrs. Cratchit.
In the Muppets’ version of Dickens’s timeless tale, Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter and mean old man, sees the error of his ways after meeting three strange ghosts—and a whole lot of Muppets—one snowy Christmas Eve. Featuring the entire Muppet cast, this is a hilarious and heartwarming story about the importance of spreading love and kindness throughout the whole year. A colorful storybook celebrating a funny and festive family favorite, it’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit year after year!
Luke Flowers
As you can see above, Luke Flowers is a huge Henson fan and we look forward to the funky vibe hell bring to The Muppet Christmas Carol. You can see more of his work on his website.

"The Muppet Christmas Carol: The Illustrated Holiday Classic" will be out October 29th, and   can pre-order it now through Amazon.

Can You Picture That? Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem Sing-Along!

Late last year, Disney released a sing along video of Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem's classic song "Can You Picture That?"

Big deal, right?

Well, here's the interesting part, the track used isn't the original version from the film, but a newly recorded one, first used for the band's live appearance at Outside Lands, and subsequently used for The Hollywood Bowl and London O2 shows.

The video even includes footage used for the Outside Lands show.

If you've been looking for high quality versions of "new" Electric Mayhem material this is great start!

Can you dig it?!
