Sesame Street wins GLAAD Award!

Over the weekend Sesame Street won a GLAAD Media Award.

Alan Muraoka shared the news on social media that “The ‘Family Day’ episode he directed won for “Outstanding Children’s Programming.”

“The ‘Family Day’ episode of Sesame Street sends the simple and important message that families come in all forms and that love and acceptance are always the most important ingredients in a family. Frank and Dave, as Mia’s dads, are the latest characters in an undeniable trend of inclusion across kids & family programming, one that allows millions of proud LGBTQ parents, and our children, to finally get to see families like ours reflected on TV.” – GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis

Not-Too-Late Show Wins GLAAD Award!

The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo has won it's first award. 

Friday night the GLAAD awards were handed out and The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo won for Outstanding Children's Programming. 

For those unfamiliar, "The GLAAD Media Award is an accolade bestowed by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation to recognize and honor various branches of the media for their outstanding representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives."

The first season of The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo is streaming now on HBO Max with production on season 2 underway. 

Kermit Shows His Pride!

Last week, iHeartRadio hosted Can’t Cancel Pride, a special to raise money for COVID-19 relief and gay rights. 

One of the many celebrities sending messages of inclusion was Kermit.
