Pre-Order Baby Animal Funko Pop!

Earlier this week reliable sources surprised us with a first look a Funko's upcoming Muppets Mayhem Baby Animal POP figure.

Thanks to Entertainment Earth's pre-order listing, we now know we should expect it to be released in March!

We also now have hi-res images to share as well.

We reached out to our sources, but we haven't heard back if any other figures based on the show are planned.

Sadly, since there is only one image on the back of the package, it seems extremely likely that this will be the only figure in the line.

You can pre-order Funko's Muppets Mayhem Baby Animal POP figure here.

Thanks to Lorna Mitchell for the info.

The Electric Mayhem Hits No. 1!

Last week, Dr. Teeth and Electric Mayhem's first album entered the kid's Billboard chart at number 13 and now it's jumped all the way to number 1!

That's right, according to Billboard Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem are now #1 selling artists!

"The Muppets Mayhem: Music From the Disney+ Original Series jumps from No. 13 to No. 1 on the Kid Albums chart, leading for the first time.

The album concurrently debuts at No. 10 on the Soundtracks chart, No. 23 on Top Current Album Sales and No. 29 on Top Album Sales. It earned 5,000 equivalent album units, nearly all from album sales, in the United States its first full tracking week (May 12-18), according to Luminate. Of its sales, 4,000 were on vinyl, and the set also starts at No. 10 on the Vinyl Albums chart."

Billboard also clarified that "While this marks the group’s first foray onto Billboard’s charts under the Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem artist billing, the act has appeared on multiple Muppet-related albums that have charted."

With a recap of every Muppet-themed title that has hit the Billboard 200.

The Muppet Show (No. 153, 1978)

The Electric Mayhem Makes Billboard Charts!

Billboard revealed the soundtrack for The Muppets Mayhem entered its charts, joining 15 other first timers.

The soundtrack entered the Kids Album chart at No. 13.

From Billboard:

Fresh off the premiere of the new Disney+ comedy musical series The Muppets Mayhem on May 10, Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem are now, officially, Billboard-charting artists – nearly a half-century after their on-screen debut.

The group enters the Kid Albums chart at No. 13 with the series’ companion soundtrack, The Muppets Mayhem: Music From the Disney+ Original Series, which also arrived May 10, on Disney+/Walt Disney Records.

The 22-track set includes 17 songs credited to Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem, plus five scores by Mick Giacchino. While some songs are original compositions for the series, others are covers of classics by The Beach Boys, Cyndi Lauper, Simon & Garfunkel, The Who and more.

Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem, which made their first televised appearance in the pilot of The Muppet Show in 1975 (and recently dished to Billboard about “the frog,” Miss Piggy and more), comprises Dr. Teeth (performed, originally, by Jim Henson and now by Bill Barretta), Animal (Frank Oz, now Eric Jacobson), Floyd Pepper (Jerry Nelson, now Matt Vogel), Janice (Richard Hunt, now David Rudman), Zoot (Dave Goelz) and Lips (Steve Whitmire, now Peter Linz).

Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem on the Billboard charts is reason to "Rock On" Indeed.

You can order the soundtrack digitally from Spotify, Apple, and on vinyl from Amazon, Target, and DME using the links below:

Amazon: Translucent Purple/Blue Swirl
Target: Poison Dart Frog Green

The Muppets Mayhem is streaming now only on Disney+.

The Mayhem Rocks Their Premiere!

The night before The Muppets Mayhem premiered, Disney held a premiere party at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Adam F. Goldberg (Executive Producer), Jeff Yorkes (Co-Executive Producer) and Bill Barretta (Executive Producer/Dr. Teeth) welcomed everyone to the event and introduced the audience to the first two episodes.

Afterwards Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem took to the stage and performed a couple songs.

Guests could even take pictures with The Electric Mayhem's van, stage, and bus!

Muppets Mayhem Reviews!

The Muppets Mayhem has been out for a day and I'm sure most of you have watched it and have your own opinions about the show.

But, lets see what some of the critics had to say.

Rolling Stone said Muppets Mayhem "Is a Sharp-Toothed Satire of the Music Industry.

AVClub calls it a "blend of music-biz satire and sentimental life lessons that makes for an enjoyable road trip, if not the mind-blowing concert you’ll never forget.

Even though "Dr. Teeth and Company Are Ready to Rock" Collider gave the show a "B"

The Guardian "the Muppets are as glorious as ever. Let Mayhem commence"

Daps Magic

"The result is that the viewer feels uplifted and happy while watching, not to mention amused by the hilarious moments they create. Finally, these characters are all endearing. Watching the series and then interviewing the band I found myself genuinely liking them and wishing for their success."

Laughingplace

The Muppets Mayhem "is a laugh out loud comedy for the whole family"

Mashable "The Muppets Mayhem is a rollicking delight"

Original-cin "It’s The Muppets and it’s fun. What else could it be?" Rating: A

Decider "the creators of The Muppets Mayhem, have accomplished something we haven’t seen with The Muppets since the Jason Segel-written film from 2011: They managed to update the world around their Muppet stars without necessarily updating the Muppet characters themselves"

Observer says it's "everything you want from a new Muppets series."
