The Dark Crystal Deluxe Vinyl Soundtrack - Exclusive Picture Disc!

ThinkGeek has a new vinyl picture disc version of The Dark Crystal soundtrack.

The exclusive, limited edition, picture disc features the main characters on the front and a shard on the back.

Only 500 will be made available starting this Friday on ThinkGeek's website. 

Chamberlain and Worm Statues Now Available!

As we reported last week, the first of Chronicle Collectibles Dark Crystal and Labyrinth products are now starting to be available for pre-order. 

Now comes word that both their Dark Crystal Chamberlain and Labyrinth Worm statues are in stock and available to purchase as well!

Available exclusively at ThinkGeek and GameStop, this skekSil statue stands an impressive 14" tall including his sword, about to be wielded in a Trial by Stone. As an added bonus, this does not come with sound, so you don't have to worry about listening to skekSil's whimper all day. "Mmmmhhhhhmmmmmm." Manipulative, deceptive, and whiny. You know, skekSil sounds a lot like a toddler, only he doesn't have the cuteness factor. Although Skeksis sort of have that ugly cute thing going on....

Labyrinth 'Ello Worm 1:1 Scale Statue

What a night. Sarah's parents leave her to babysit her little brother, never bothering to ask if she has plans. Goblins come and take the poor boy away. Then she finds herself outside the Labyrinth, tasked with finding her way to the center or losing her baby brother forever! David Bowie sure could be mean. Once inside the Labyrinth, the first creature she meets is only referred to as "The Worm" (and no complaining, because she met Hoggle outside the Labyrinth). A new exclusive Jareth pop figure is on the way. 

This version of Jareth, wearing his outfit from the Labryinth finale, will be a Think Geek exclusive and be sold a ThinkGeek.com and at Game Stop locations.

ThinkGeek Muppet T-Shirts!

ThinkGeek has a couple of new Muppet shirts.

The Fozzie shirt is fine, and I have nothing really to add except that I really like it's simplicity and the way ThinkGeek added a little trivia from the Muppet Wiki about Fozzie's ears wiggling. 

The Periodic Table of The Muppet Show however, leaves a lot to be desired. First off I understand the pairing of The Electric Mayhem and Bunsen and Beaker, but 
shouldn't Gonzo be included with Kermit, Piggy and Fozzie then? And if you're going to include them in color groups, why not pair the characters according to color.
 
For example:
Green: Kermit, Dr Teeth, Bunsen
Blue: Gonzo, Zoot
Brown: Fozzie, RowlfZ
Red: Animal, Floyd
Tan: Piggy, Beaker, JaniceOrange: Pepe

Artist Mike Baboon created an excellent "Periodic Table of Muppets":

According to Boon:

Each square represents a different character and indicates the primary Muppeteer(s) for that character, as well as the year and production in which the character made its debut. Borders align with hair/hat colour, background aligns with skin/fur colour, and colour of the abbreviated name represents nose colour (for characters with noses that is).

Now that's geeky! Maybe ThinkGeek should have commissioned Boon to make or alter his deign instead of using that uninspired clip art.
