New Oris Miss Piggy Watch!

Two years after Oris teamed up with The Muppets for their "Kermit Day” Oris ProPilot X Watch, they're back with a version featuring Miss Piggy.

While their Kermit watch was lime-green with his face appearing one a month on the front. There's a few differences with the Piggy version. 

The Piggy watch is hot pink with a diamond at 12 o’clock and her face appears on the back. Which means you have to take it off to see it. 

 

While the Kermit watch would set you back $4,600, Oris is selling their Miss Piggy's Oris ProPilot X for only $3,200. 

"Kermit Day” Oris ProPilot X Watch!

Oris teamed up with Kermit to release a special edition “Kermit Day” version of their ProPilot X Calibre 400 watch. 

Oris and Disney’s The Muppets Kermit the Frog get together for a bit of fun and to create “Kermit Day” with a very special edition of the ProPilot X Calibre 400. 

We’re inspired by what we call the Joy of Mechanics. The first function of every Oris watch, in the purest emotional, feel-it-in-yourbones sense, is to bring joy, to make people smile. That’s it. If an Oris watch can make someone’s day better, we’ve done our job. 

 

For some time, we’ve been trying to find the ultimate expression of this and to make a watch that’s pure joy. And then it hit us. A collaboration with the easiest guy on the planet: Kermit the Frog from The Muppet Show. Kermit’s role is to entertain, to put a smile on our faces. He’s been doing it for generations. Could we do a watch with him? 

It turns out we could. And we’re delighted, grinning from ear to ear, and so proud to introduce you to the ProPilot X Kermit Edition. 

It’s based on our 39mm titanium ProPilot X Calibre 400, only it’s got a green dial – and a twist.

On the first of every month, the date window at 6 o’clock will be filled with a Kermit the Frog emoji.

 

“Kermit Day” is all about not taking life too seriously. Having some fun. We’re seriously unserious about it.

 

We all know high end watches aren't cheap. but this is "seriously" one of the most expensive Muppet items ever produce, retailing at a whopping $4,600!

Retailer Spotlight: Khol's

It's been a while since our last retailer spotlight. So it's high time to bring it back by looking at the offerings at discount retailer Kohl's. 

While at Wizard World we met a woman wearing a Muppet watch, when I asked where she got it, she said Kohl's (obviously).  I treaded off to my local store soon after and low and behold I found one.

As with many of the merchandise at Kohl's, t looks like this was older stock that didn't sell. If using branding from The Muppets, not to be confused with The Muppets didn't give it away,  the 2012 copyright on the bottom should. 

The watch comes in a metal case, with recent stock photos adorning it. The price tag says $19.99, but they were having a sale and it came to just $13 when it was rung up!

The other item at Kohl's is this t-shirt:

Notice anything odd about it? Take a closer look at the date. "The Muppets Since 1954" 1954??? What Muppets are from 1954? Sam & Friend's, the first Muppet series started in 1955. This shirt is like trying to sell a losing SuperBowl team shirt in Africa.
