Funko NYCC Exclusive Animal POP!

New York Comic Con kicks off today and Funko will have an exclusive Animal POP vinyl figure for sale at the show. 

The POP is an update on the figure Funko released over a decade ago for both The Muppets and Muppets Most Wanted and features Animal with his drum set.

Not only that, but there are two versions - a regular and a flocked version.

The flocked version is NYCC exclusive, while the regular will shared exclusive with Target.

You can also get the regular version from Funko's website as well.

Disney Parks has a new pin starter set featuring Animal.

Animal is seen crashing through a drum and is joined by non-Muppet Disney animated characters Robin Hood (crashing through an archery bullseye), Dumbo (crashing through a circus pedestal), & Scrooge McDuck (crashing through a top hat).

Animal to Present at The Game Awards!

Animal will be a be a presenter at The Game Awards

Geoff Keighly, who produces the awards show, posted the announcement on Twitter stating "It's time to play the music It's time to light the Lights It's time to bring back @TheMuppets to #TheGameAwards."

Animal Appears in New GEICO ad!

Insurance company GEICO has a long history of using famous licensed characters in their ads and now it's The Muppets turn to shill for your 15 minutes to save to 15%. 

Animal appears in the first ad titled "There's An Animal In The Attic."

Sure, maybe there’s an Animal in your attic. And maybe that Animal has been working on that drum solo all night. But at least you can bundle and save with GEICO.

I'm going to go out a limb and guess we'll be seeing Kermit as a non-sequitur "frog in someone's throat", or Miss Piggy's "hamming it up" in future spots. But hey, anything that keeps the characters we love in their preverbal 15 minutes of fame, can't be all bad just as log as they don't lose 15% of their charm along the way. 

New Zealand Mint Releases Animal Coin!

Animal, the next and final coin in the New Zealand Mint's Muppet collection, is now available. 

From the official description:

This fun Disney Muppets 1oz Silver Coin shows the many crazed faces of Animal both engraved and coloured. In the foreground he is shown brandishing a drumstick while wearing his permanent collar and chain. The addition of the Muppets logo completes the design. Packaged in an acrylic block, the coin fits snugly inside its Muppet-themed packaging, featuring a close up of Animal in one of his many violent outbursts!

The coin is legal tender in Niue with the obverse featuring the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

 The uniquely numbered Certificate of Authenticity is placed inside the packaging, which confirms it as a limited-edition coin with a worldwide mintage of only 10,000.

Officially licensed by Disney, you can add this wild and crazy drummer to your Muppets collection now.

Who better then to launch Supreme's new drum kit than Animal.

First Look: Diamond Select Animal Bust!

This weekend Diamond Select Toys unveiled a Animal bust at San Diego Comic-Con.

Details are still slim, but the 1/2 scale bust will be released sometime in winter 2019 and cost $150.

We've reached out to Diamond Select and we'll post more photo and images as they become available.

Muppet Sun-Staches Now Available!

Back at Toy Fair we told you that sun-staches would be releasing Muppet sunglasses this year. We heard a summer time frame and also that a special "Exclusive" Miss Piggy version would be available at Disney's D23 festival.

While we didn't heard if the D23 Piggy was actually being released. We did spot the Kermit and Animal sun-staches in the wild at a kiosk in Orange County California's Irvine Spectrum.
