Announcing The Muffin Stuff Blog!

It's hard to muster much enthusiasm for Muppets these days, I mean it's not like they brought back The Muppet Show, have a new attraction coming, or have been featured on any new pins or merch recently.

So my friends, I think it's time to share my true passion - MUFFINS!

Yes, over the next few days you'll see a major overhaul as we transition from Muppets to MUFFINS!

We'll be sharing our favorite MUFFIN recipes, our YouTube channel will focus our our hunt for the perfect, crumb-free MUFFIN, as well as our favorite MUFFIN related clips. 

To ease into this new chapter of social media MUFFIN dominance, here's a few crossover Muppet/MUFFIN videos.

MUFFINS aren't just fun and games though, they can also be DEADLY serious:

Ghost of April Fool's Days Past!

Christmas has the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, so why can't April Fool's Day have at least one? So this year, as part of Muppet Stuff's 10th Anniversary, let's look back at Muppet Stuff's April Fools' Day's that have come before.

In 2014, Constantine took over, changed the name to the "Mappet Stuff" blog,

then presented nothing but news and products about himself. He also took over Tough Pigs and The Muppet Mindset as well. 

In 2015, our site was taken over again, this time by the Chamberlain, who changed the name to the "Skeksis Stuff" blog...with the appropriate tag line "hmmm hmmmm hmmmm mmmmmmmmm"

He then of course presented nothing but news and products about ya know... Skeksis stuff. 

The following year Muppet Stuff wasn't taken over, but presented Funko's Pre 1986 "Invisible Snuffy" Pop figure. 

A few years later there was a showcase of Disney+'s next wave of Muppet spinoffs including 

Mop & Flow starring George the Janitor, Bobby Benson's Baby Band in The Baby-Or, and Keeping Up With Clifford.

2020's celebration was a compilation of Muppet pranks and bloopers. 

And just last year Muppet Stuff showed off real products that, aren't part of the official Henson Universe, but still have Jim Henson connections.

This year we decided to something a little different. Instead of showing fake products or having a Henson franchise take over the page. We decide to show off real products that, while they aren't part of the official Henson Universe, still have Jim Henson connections. 

Both ALF and Ghostbusters were executive-produced by Bernie Brillstein, Jim Henson's long time manger!

And not only did long time Muppet performer Mike Quinn work on Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but Super 7 is working on a line of Electric Mayhem ReAction figures as well!

So while you may have thought our April Fools joke was that we WEREN'T sharing Muppet stuff, we kinda were the whole time!

Disney+ Announces New Muppet Lineup! - APRIL FOOLS

Disney announced a wave of new series featuring The Muppets for their upcoming Disney+ streaming service. 

The Newsman chronicles the behind-the-scenes events at Muppet News. It features the Muppet Newman and his staff who set out to put on a news show "in the face of  falling obstacles (literally)  and their own personal entanglements, including a heavy addition to girl scout cookies". 

Sports Guy is a series about a sports announcer Louis Kazagger as he scours the globe for "wild" new Muppet sports to showcase.

Mop & Flow follows the daily life of George the Janitor. After his wife Flow passes away, George begins a new life marrying his mop only to discover that it has been inhabited by the soul of Flow. Hilarity ensures and soap scum jokes abound. 

Bobby Benson's Baby Band is world famous and each of his babies are hot commodities. The Baby-Or, revolves around a single dad Bobby Benson as a pool of romantic interests compete to each baby's sugar mamma.

During the course of the season, the baby eliminates candidates culminating in a marriage proposal to his final selection. The participants travel to exotic locations and have to show how'd they'd handle and care for each baby.

Clifford, leader of 90's band Solid and Foam and featured player from the legendary Electric Mayhem, now lives in mansion with his pet tiger. The reality series Keeping Up With Clifford follows his adventures through the music industry as he mentors a group of up and coming musicians who aim to take Hollywood by storm. 

All coming never to Disney+ streaming service. April Fools Day!

Funko Announces Sesame POP! Convention Exclusive! - APRIL FOOLS!

Funky announced their summer convention exclusive plans and it includes a new Sesame convention variant!


As you'll recall, last year Funko released a flocked version of Snuffy similar to their flocked convention exclusive Cookie Monster.

This summer they're taking a cue from some of their other POP! items. So, in the grand tradition of Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet,

Invisible Predator,

Invisible Bilbo Baggins,

and Invisible Bing Bong,

be on the lookout for Invisible Snuffleupagus!

ToughPigs became "BuzzPigs" and featured Muppets parodies all types of social media click bait.

While The Muppet Mindset, became every "M" Mindset they could think of including "The Marvel Mindset", "The Mario Mindset", "The Matlock Mindset", "The Monoply Mindset", "The Marmoset Mindset", "The Mandy Moore Mindset" finally culminating in the me mindiest mindset of all "The Mindset Mindset"!  

How very "M"eta!

If you recall both Miss Piggy and Kermit did release perfumes in the nineties. Kermit's "Amphibia" was released in 1995 and Piggy's "Moi" in 1998.

You may have noticed a the site looked a little differently yesterday. While we weren't looking Constantine snuck in and had his run of the place. The worlds #1 criminal desperately posted about all his latest merchandise ad appearances including his Disney Store plush, his takeover of Muppet Vision 3-D, and his many magazine covers.
