Most Wanted Popcorn Buckets!

Friday is typically the start of the weekend, weekends mean movies and what's a movie without popcorn! So today we'll take an extended look at the Muppets recent relationship with the staple movie snack.

Back in 2011, the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood offered a Muppet themed popcorn bucket with VIP admission to The Muppets. With this year's release of Muppet Most Wanted not only does the El Capitan have a new popcorn bucket, but other theater chains
around the world are getting in on all the hot buttery action.
As a refresher, here's The Muppets 2011 El Capitan popcorn bucket that features Beaker, Animal, Kermit and Miss Piggy.
The new El Capitan Muppets Most Wanted bucket, has Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Beaker, in boxes and substitutes Fozzie for Animal.

Certain theaters carried this popcorn bucket prior to the release of  Muppets Most Wanted.

Mexican theater chain Cinepolis, offered not one, but two different popcorn buckets. The first features Kermit,  Miss Piggy, Foo-Foo, Gonzo, Fozzie and Walter.

While the second features one big wrap around cast photo.

You might have noticed that Walter was added, and that the film's official Mexican title is Muppets 2: Los Mas Buscados, which translates into Muppets 2: Most Wanted. That really isn't much different from the English version, but it still looks cool.

Not all popcorn buckets are movie theater exclusives, European popcorn maker Jimmyswill soon be offering it's tasty kernels in this bucket below.

And not all popcorn containers are buckets, as evidenced by this Muppets Most Wanted popcorn bag!

Popcorn even makes a surprise appearance in this new ad for Lufthansa airlines:

No post about popcorn would be complete without the Swedish Chef''s take on
Gershon Kingsley's "Popcorn." Enjoy!

Which bucket would you prefer to eat out of? Let us know in the comment section, and
if you spot any other popcorn containers let us know and we'll add them to the post.
