RSVLTS Dark Crystal & Labyrinth Shirts!

RSVLTS (The Roosevelts) has a new line of Dark Crystal and Labyrinth shirts.

Photo via RSVLTS

Each style comes in a standard unisex cut, but two of the Labyinth designs are available in  women’s as well.

All shirts are traditional button down, made with KUNUFLEX stretch material and come in sizes XS-4XL ($70).

Links to each item can be found below.

The Dark Crystal

"Age of Wonder"

“Bring home Jen, Kira, Fizzgig, Aughra, urSu the Master, and the rest of your favorite residents of Thra on this otherworldly button down. With astronomical symbols, mystical geometry, and the Dark Crystal itself, it’s perfect for any fan of the film – or your spiritual cousin who always smells like sage and blames everything on Mercury retrograde.”

"Wall of Destiny"

“It is written in the heavens that you will dig this button down, whether because it’s modeled after the Wall of Destiny and tells the epic tale of the prophesized Gelfling who will return the Shard to the Crystal of Truth thus unifying the Skeksis and the Mystics before the Great Conjunction, or, you know, because it has cool shapes and colors and stuff. Either way.”

Labyrinth

"Ello!"

“Look who got his own shirt! What do you do when there’s no GPS? Turn to the friendliest blue-haired talking invertebrate you know, of course (ok, probably the only blue-haired talking invertebrate you know, but still, he’s super friendly). Sure, his directions accidentally led Sarah on a harrowing journey fraught with danger at every turn, but with that cheery disposition and adorable cockney accent, it was totally worth it. Bring home William the worm on this button down. And be sure to grab one for the missus.”

Ello! (Ladies)

"Further Than You Think”

“‘It's further than you think. Time is short.’ Sarah got 13 hours to solve the Labyrinth. That's about half as long as you'll need just to stare in amazement at this shirt. It would be easier to name who is not on this ultimate tribute to Labyrinth than it would be to name who is on it. Sarah, Jareth, the goblins, Hoggle, Ludo, the Worm, Sir Didymus and Ambrosius, the Four Guards, even little baby Toby all make an appearance on this maze of a button down.”

Further Than You Think – RSVLTS (Ladies)

"Jareth's Goblins"

“Dark, subtle, and gloriously goblin-esque, this goblin-covered shirt is an illustrated tribute to Jareth the Goblin King and his army of goblins in Goblin City. Goblin.”

"Helping Hands"

“What's scary about a bunch of green hands in a dark pit coming together to make faces and talk to you about your fate? Besides… everything we just said? The Helping Hands were less than helpful in Sarah's quest but that doesn't mean they don't make for a hauntingly dark and delightful shirt design.”

You can find these and more, non-Henson related, shirts, at the RSVLTS.com.

Sesame Street Season 53 Coming Nov. 3!

Sesame Street 53rd season premier's next month. This season's curriculum focuses on helping kids develop healthy self-identity and sense of belonging.

Celebrity guests this season include Mickey Guyton, Amber Ruffin, Zazie Beetz, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Samuel L. Jackson, Brett Goldstein, Ava DuVernay, and HAIM

The full press release is below:

“As with every new season, our goal is to deepen connections with families by creating unique and dynamic ways for them to engage with Sesame Street,” said Sal Perez, Executive Producer, Sesame Street. “Season 53 continues our tradition of meeting the needs of kids today with authentic, meaningful content while keeping them learning, laughing, and singing along. This season, both beloved and new friends will model the power of relationships and show the many ways we are all connected and belong in our families and communities.”

Season 53 is devoted to helping children grow up with a healthy self-identity and sense of belonging, in full celebration of our diverse world. With a focus on stories that celebrate our differences and embrace our similarities, children will learn to feel confident and proud of who they are and find joy in connecting with and learning about others.

Sesame Street has always given kids a mirror to themselves and a window to each other, and this season strengthens that tradition. We could not be more grateful to be their partner in bringing these new stories to Cartoonito,” said Amy Friedman, head of kids & family programming, Warner Bros. Discovery. “Perfectly aligned with our Humancentric Learning framework, the new season gives preschoolers a sense of connection across differences – probably the most important skill modern kids need to thrive.”

“We know that when young children develop a positive and healthy sense of self and identity, they are better able to flourish and develop to their fullest potential,” said Dr. Rosemarie Truglio, Sesame Workshop’s Senior Vice President of Curriculum & Content. “This season’s curriculum is woven through stories that highlight positive self-identity and encourage us to treat each other with kindness, fairness, and respect.”

Young viewers will see themselves reflected on-screen as the characters and kids of Sesame Street explore concepts and language that celebrate themselves, their friends and families, and the wider community. Feature episodes include Community Mural (Thursday, November 3), in which Sesame Street Muppets and humans work together to paint a special mural dedicated to all the people in their neighborhood; Family Album (Thursday, February 2), where Gabrielle and Tamir work on a photo album for their Grandma Nell and learn that sometimes people in a family look the same, and sometimes they might look different; Fans of the Fan Dance (Thursday, April 20), in which Ji-Young invites her friends to her Korean fan dance class to learn a dance that’s special to her and her family; and Wash Day (Thursday, May 18), where Gabrielle spends time with her Auntie Kayla as she washes Gabrielle’s hair.

Celebrity and special guests Mickey Guyton (Thursday, November 3), Amber Ruffin (Thursday, November 3 and Thursday, March 9), Zazie Beetz (Thursday, December 1), First Lady Dr. Jill Biden (Thursday, December 1), Samuel L. Jackson (Thursday, December 15), Brett Goldstein (Thursday, January 12), Ava DuVernay (Thursday, February 16), and HAIM (Thursday, May 11) join for Street Stories, songs, and other segments.

Some of these famous friends will also appear in digital content rolling out alongside the new season. New “Word of the Day” videos will be released on Sesame Street's YouTube channel throughout the fall starring Samuel L. Jackson, Jacob Batalon, Amanda Gorman, and more. The “Word of the Day” series, which harnesses the power of language to nurture children's positive and healthy sense of self, is produced in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery.

Sesame Street released a trailer of what to expect this season:

But that's not all, Elmo and Tango will star in their very first holiday special, The Nutcracker: Starring Elmo and Tango.

The classic story of The Nutcracker is retold Sesame Street-style in a brand new animated holiday special that follows Elmo and his new puppy Tango on a fantastical adventure filled with new music, friends, and a talking Tango. This 30-minute festive feature is a celebration of the greatest gift of all: friendship.

The holidays are here on Sesame Street, and Elmo is determined to make it the best Christmas for Tango. At Elmo’s family holiday party, friends and family sing about how wonderful this holiday will be. The Count arrives bearing gifts for everyone, including a wind-up rocket ship for Elmo and a cute, nutcracker-shaped doggy toy for Tango. After a fun-filled night, Elmo and Tango fall asleep listening to Elmo’s dad, Louie, read them the story of The Nutcracker. Elmo drifts into a dream sequence where Tango can speak, and that’s when the adventure begins!

The Nutcracker: Starring Elmo and Tango will be available Thursday, December 1st through Cartoonito on HBO Max.

Sesame Street’s 53rd season will debut on Thursday, November 3 on Cartoonito on HBO Max. This season's 35 episodes will drop every Thursday and will be available on PBS stations and streams on PBS KIDS fall 2023.
