Kermit Sings "Rainbow Connection" with Choir! Choir! Choir!

This past October, Kermit the Frog joined Choir! Choir! Choir! at Lincoln Center.

Kermit performed "Rainbow Connection" at the free event with Daveed Goldman Nobu Adilman, the violin group Rootstock Republic, and a room full of fans singing along. 

Look closely, and you may even spot a few major Muppet fans in the crowd!

2022 Muppet Holiday Gifts!

Nothing like Valentine's Day to remind us about the last major holiday!

We hope everyone enjoyed spending time with friends and family, but we also can't wait to  see what those friends, family, (and Santa) got you.  I know it's a bit past due, but it's never too late to open presents.

Melissa Kohan received a Twiddlebug from my mom, my oldest son painted me the first of a series to add to my muppet wall, hubby found many earrings and youngest son got a Muppet Movie script with (copies) of signatures. 

Kelly Kate bought myself the Muppet Colourpop makeup collection. 

Kevin Hansen received this Muppet Show shirt and board game. 

Jackie Stone's sister got her the whole Muppet Colour pop collection, and Labyrinth CLUE (not pictured).

Nicole Osborne found an assortment of Muppet goodies in her stocking including mini Fraggle Rock books, and Muppet stickers. 

Santa brought Matthew Roche The Emmet Otter vinyl picture disc. 

Rianne Thomas got this Rainbow Connection Shirt and Muppet Christmas Carol 30th Anniversary hat. 

Seth Totten got a box of Muppet Lego minifigues. 

Muppet Stuff's Chris Stulz received Natasha Rogoff's "Muppets in Moscow."

Lisa Soares family brought the Muppet gifts! Her BF gave her the Gobo and Mokey McDonald's cars. Her niece gifted her a Kermit cup. My sister gave the Beaker slippers, and my bfs son gave me the vintage Scooter.

Lisa Soares' boyfriend is also xmas champ "for the next 5 years." He won one of the prop store auctions for storyboards from Episode 5 of the Fraggle Rock animated series and gifted them to her.

Big Bird Returns to The Kenney Center!

Here's a Muppet appearance that "flew" under the radar. Apparently Big Bird made an appearance at this year's Kennedy Center Honors.

Our favorite feathered 6 year old was part of a group of past honorees that opened the ceremony. 

Big Bird was also interviewed on the red carper before the show which you can watch below:

The 45th annual Kennedy Center Honors aired Wednesday, December 28th on CBS and is available to stream on Paramount+.

RIP Barbara Walters (1929-2022)

Journalist and television personality Barbara Walters has died.

Walters was known for her hard-hitting questions and in-depth reporting on a wide variety of topics.

She appeared in two Sesame Street specials, the Sesame Street, Special (1988), where she represented a news correspondent as a "person in your neighborhood" with Bob as well as inn the celebrity version of "Put Down the Duckie."):

 

And Stars and Street Forever! (1994), where Walters reported from her 20/20 set on Sesame Street with Sully.

in 2005, Walters hosted the Sesame Workshop Benefit Gala. 

Walters was also known for her talk show The View, where Kermit and Miss Piggy made frequent appearances.

Gonzo the Great: A Career Retrospective!

Disney+ honored Gonzo's illustrious Hollywood journey with "Gonzo the Great: A Career Retrospective" featuring the daredevil himself reminiscing about his film and TV career.

"Dive inside the mind of the one and only Gonzo the Great as we reflect on his decades-long career. Finding fame on The Muppet Show in 1976, Gonzo catapulted (sometimes quite literally) into icon status, starring in classics like The Muppet Christmas Carol (which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year!), and new Disney+ Originals, including #MuppetsHauntedMansion and #MuppetsNow. From motorcycles to tapioca, hear about his greatest moments and achievements."

    

Conveniently they don't mention any of the titles NOT owned by Disney like The Muppets take Manhattan and the VERY Gonzo centric Muppets From Space, but it's still great to see Disney put an effort into showcasing Gonzo and the Muppets accomplishments.

Toys For Tots!

It's time once again give a toy to a kid in need. This year we donated items from across the Henson spectrum to Toys for Toys. 

As you can see toys and products from Sid the Science Kid, Muppet Babies, Dinosaur Train, Sesame Street and The Muppets are all off to kids in need. 

If you have a new Henson (or even a non-Henson) toy to spare please donate them to your local Toys for Tots. 

Fraggle Rock: Back To The Rock’ Renewed For Season 2!

We've heard rumors for months, but today it was officially announced that Fraggle Rock: Back To The Rock was renewed for a second season by Apple.

According to Deadline: 

In Season 2, big changes affecting the Rock, the Fraggles, Doozers, and Gorgs will force them to confront their past and celebrate their interdependence, as they move through challenges together with hope, silliness, and brand new songs, all while dancing their cares away…down at Fraggle Rock.

The Emmy-winning series' second season will include guests Ariana DeBose, Brett Goldstein, and Catherine O’Hara, as well as Daveed Diggs who return as the voice of Jamdolin. 

No release date has been announced but Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and the Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Night of the Lights holiday special are now streaming on Apple TV+.

The inaugural Children’s & Family Emmys were held over two night over the weekend.

JoJo Siwa hosted the Creative Arts ceremony on Night 1 and Jack McBrayer hosted Night 2 with the remainder the categories.
