The Muppet Show Wins 4 Emmys!

The 2026 Emmy Awards kicked off last night for the Creative Arts categories for which The Muppet Show was nominated for 6 awards.  

And while it didn't win all 6, it did win 4, including Outstanding Variety Special (pre-recorded).

Below are the categories the special (Hopefully full reboot - nudge nudge Disney) won:

Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special – The Muppet Show

Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special – The Muppet Show

Outstanding Picture editing for variety programming - The Muppet Show

Outstanding Variety Special (pre-recorded) – The Muppet Show

Not only that, the special won on the original series' 50th anniversary!

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing The Muppet Show back for it's 50th Anniversary. 

NBC will air the prime time telecast of the 78th Emmy Awards Monday, September 14, 2026 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
