Toys For Tots!

It's time once again give a toy to a kid in need. This year we donated items from across the Henson spectrum to Toys for Toys. 

As you can see toys and products from Sid the Science Kid, Muppet Babies, Dinosaur Train, Sesame Street and The Muppets are all off to kids in need. 

If you have a new Henson (or even a non-Henson) toy to spare please donate them to your local Toys for Tots.

Toys for Tots 2020!

The holidays are quickly approaching and, like past years ,this years we've donated a bunch of great Henson related items to Toys for Tots.

This years items included a Sesame Street art set, dough, figures, flash cards, work books, figurines, Muppet Babies Figures and more!

The pick up for Toys for Tots are happening around teh country now so please donate soon.

Omaze Sing With Kermit Winner Announced!

As part of WE Charity, Omaze set up a contest in August to win a karaoke session with Kermit.

This week Omaze announced that Paul C. from Ringwood, NJ was the winner.

Paul’s going to head to the other side of the rainbow—Los Angeles—to sing karaoke with none other than Kermit the Frog.

Omaze, the online fundraising platform, has another one of their once-in-a-lifetime experience: Karaoke with Kermit the Frog!

That's right, you sand a friend could spend an afternoon singing with the frog himself all while helping the WE organization. 

What you'll do:

Who you'll help:

WE is a movement that brings people together and gives them the tools to change the world. Your donation will support the WE Schools program, which aims to empower over 100,000 students, including underserved youth, to engage in service. Students will receive the inspiration, mentorship, educational resources, tools and support they need to create impact for a cause of their choice. As a result, these incredibly deserving kids will contribute to their local communities, develop important life skills and become the change-makers of their generation.

The deadline to enter is September 20 and the winner will be announced on or around October 9!

The fine print states that "This sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, or affiliated in any way with The Walt Disney Company or The Muppets Studio, LLC." which seems pretty odd  considering they must be coordinating the Muppet wranglers.

Muppet Stuff Charity Toy Donations - Please Donate to Toys For Tots!

As a blog about merchandise, this time each year we like to give something back and spread the magic of Jim Henson and the Muppets to those less fortunate. 

This year's donations include a selection of Diamond Select Muppet action figures and Minimates, and Funko Sesame Street Pop! figures. 

Toy's For Toys announced this week they've received less donations than in the past. If you have the means to do so please consider donating a toy or two to your locale Toys for Toys drop off location.

You can find locations at Toys R US, Five Below, and from the Toys For Toys website.

The last day to donate is this Friday.

Happy Holidays Toys For Tots!

Each year we like to give the gift of Jim Henson and the Muppets to kids that may not have the opportunity to have a Muppet fan in their life. 

This year a special child will receive Funko Sesame Street Pop! vinyl figures, Hallmark Muppet Itty Bitty's, or a Playskool Big Bird and Snuffy toy through the great efforts of Toys for Tots. 

While the collection period has ended, we recommend spreading the gift of The Muppets in any way you can, especially to those less fortunate.

The items above and more were part of this year's Muppet Stuff charity donation which went to Carson Valley Children’s Aid in Norristown, PA and Toys for Tots!

Muppets Take "Ice Bucket Challange"

Have you seen the "Ice Bucket Challenge" storming through social media? If you're on social media then chances are you have. If you aren't aware, the "Ice Bucket Challenge" is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head or donating to the ALS Association (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

So far two of our favorite Muppets have taken the icy plunge for the cause.
