Grab your favorite Silly Creatures and get ready to "dance your cares away" when The Jim Henson Company's musical, magic-filled touring live show Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock LIVE makes its way across the United States for its second national tour.

Following a successful run at the New Victory Theater in New York City this summer, this joyful, nostalgic show for fun-loving families and fans of all ages launches on September 18,  followed by over 40 stops including Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Tucson, Des Moines, Charleston, Shreveport, and more. 

Packed with comedy, dancing, and music that are hallmarks of the iconic Jim Henson Company, this family friendly live stage adventure features colorful new walkaround versions of the Fraggles, new puppet versions of their industrious friends the Doozers, a visit from a giant Gorg, and exciting original puppet creature friends - all built by the renowned Jim Henson's Creature Shop. With plenty of fan-favorite songs and exciting visual effects, this musical stage adventure welcomes audiences on a joyful, nostalgia-filled trip to Fraggle Rock. With lots of music, laughter and imagination, it's an unforgettable live experience that will have Silly Creatures of all ages dancing in the aisles!

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and The Jim Henson Company announced Fraggle Rock: A Space-y Adventure, a new, original live show debuting Monday, December 22 at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. 

Fraggle Rock: A Space-y Adventure, a new, original live show debuting Monday, December 22 at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. The exciting, on-stage adventure will bring Jim Henson’s Emmy® Award-winning Fraggles face-to-face with NASA’s real-life space explorers.

In this first-of-its-kind collaboration, the beloved Fraggles venture from their magical underground caves on a journey to discover the wonders of today’s NASA. Following a mysterious postcard all the way to Florida’s Space Coast, Gobo, Red, and making his live stage debut, Uncle Travelling Matt, arrive at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and meet a member of the Exploration Ground Systems crew, who is essential to every NASA mission. Together, they embark on a musical, comedic quest to learn about NASA’s Artemis missions and humanity’s next giant leap to the Moon, even talking with a real astronaut from the International Space Station.

Audiences will learn that everyone, no matter how big or small, can make a difference in the universe.

Included with admission, Fraggle Rock: A Space-y Adventure will be performed twice daily at 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. in the Universe Theater at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

Throughout Holidays in Space, December 21-30 (closed December 25), the visitor complex will also host a special character breakfast featuring the stars of Fraggle Rock: A Space-y Adventure, offering guests an unforgettable opportunity to meet favorite Fraggles up close, enjoy themed menu items, and capture out-of-this-world holiday memories.

Animation Magazine: Mokey’s Makeover!

Pretty much everyone likes Fraggle Rock, and pretty much everyone was excited to see the Fraggles return in AppleTV+'s reboot Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, but a controversy of the new show has been Mokey's makeover.

Animation Magazine spoke with with the Henson Creature Shop’s New York-based creative supervisor Jason Weber about Mokey’s makeover and thought that went into it and why. 

"Mokey’s character (as delightful as she is) did not appear to be a peer of the characters. She seemed more of a mentor or parental figure as opposed to someone who was the same age as the others. So, for this new reboot, we wanted her to look younger, like a friend or sister."
