The final packaging and accessories for Diamond Select Toys “Best of" The Muppets action figures has been revealed.

Statler & Waldorf are also part of this "Best of" series, though their new packaging has not been revealed.
These paired down sets feature less accessories and don't contain other figures such as Crazy Harry, Mahna-Mahna, or Bean Bunny that were included in the original releases.

Why couldn't they have done a set like these for the Dr. Teeth and Zoot figures?
ReplyDeleteDiamond Select's excuse for cancelling the individual releases was because of poor sales (making the release of these new sets seems a bit ridiculous and contradictory). So I'll never understand their reasoning to package the last two members of The Electric Mayhem in an expensive set with the three previously released figures : if sales for the original releases were poor, an expensive "niche" set is hardly going to attract casual buyers, and collectors of the series are going to baulk at buying the big set containing three figures they already have.
I hope Diamond Select do the decent thing and release Dr. Teeth and Zoot in one of these smaller sets.
