Also of note, tomorrow's the last day to see it in US theaters, which we HIGHLY recommend going to see.
The 4K restoration is simply stunning. My only qualms were that for some reason Universal hasn’t given the Henson’s/ Sony a remastered version of their logo. It looks really worn and dated - and really stands out as it should be an easy fix.
Secondly, the title itself looks muted and soft. Just like the blur-ray does now.

When you see the rest of the names in the opening credits the different is very apparent. The names really stand out and shine, the the big reveal of the title? meh. Again, an easy fix that should have been dealt with for this 4K restoration.
Other then then those two things - both of which happen less than 2 min into the film - everything else looks amazing and we can't recommend seeing this restoration on the big screen enough.
However, if you can't make it to the theather, The Dark Crystal's 35 Anniversary Edition 4K and Blu-ray hits store's tomorrow!
