Shout! Studios Lands Exclusive Labyrinth & Dark Crystal Rights!

According to Deadline, Shout! Studios has inked a new exclusive deal for the rights to Labyrinth & Dark Crystal as part of a new multi-year distribution alliance with the Henson Company.

The deal went into effect on January 1st and gives Shout! the rights for the two fantasy classics in the arenas of streaming, broadcast, digital download, video-on-demand, all packaged media, as well as limited non-theatrical rights.

It also provides Shout! Studios with the same global rights to the behind-the-scenes specials Inside the Labyrinth and The World of the Dark Crystal.

Shout! Studios is planning an extensive rollout of the films and associated content, beginning February 6th with the digital release of Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal across all major digital entertainment platforms.

The news comes after the initial deal Henson and Shout made in 2022 to distribute thirteen of Henson’s beloved series and specials including Farscape and The Storyteller.
