David Johansen, who often performed under the stage name Buster Poindexter, has died.
The singer, songwriter, and comic actor guest starred in the "Video Tape" episode of The Jim Henson Hour in 1989.
Johansen was was the lead singer of punk group the New York Dolls before becoming pop/ lounge singer Poindexter. Perhaps best know for his world wide hit "Hot, Hot, Hot," he performed lesser known hit "All Night Party" with the Muppets.
