RIP Ruth Buzzi (1936 - 2025)

Sad news as comic actress Ruth Buzzi has died.


Buzzi was best known for playing an assortment of characters, most notably the drab spinster Gladys, on the classic sketch comedy show Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In.

She spent a lot of time with the Muppets during her career, including the 1971 special Pure Goldie that also featured Kermit, guest starring on The Muppet Show, appearing in The Muppets Go Hollywood, and playing Ruthie, the owner of the Finders Keepers store, on Sesame Street from 1993 to 1999 and in The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, and voicing Suzie Kabloozie in a series of recurring inserts.

She was 88.
