RIP Diana Rigg (1938 - 2020)

Dame Diana Rigg , better know to Muppet fans as Lady Holiday, has died.

From 1965-68 Rigg starred as Emma Peel in The Avengers, a role she would receive
a special BAFTA award for in 2000. She also won a BAFTA in 1990 for her part in TV series Mother Love.

Rigg won an Emmy award in 1997 for her performance as Mrs Danvers in Rebecca and a Tony award for playing the title character in Medea.

Diana's role in 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service gave her the distinction of being the only Bond girl to ever marry 007.

Most recently Diana Rigg played Lady Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones and appeared on Extras.

But to Muppet fans she'll always be Lady Holiday from 1981's The Great Muppet Caper.

Dame Diana Rigg was 82.

Muppets Now Ends Earth To Ned Begins!

Hard to believe today marks the finale of Muppets Now. Whether we'll see more Now or something else from The Muppets ...SOON remains to be seen.

But for NOW, enjoy the Muppets Now finale while Now is still NOW and not THEN.

As Aughra once said "End.Begin. All Same" and as one thing ends another begins as Earth to Ned, the new alien talk show from The Jim Henson Company, premieres.

The first episode features Andy Richter and Gillian Jacobs with Joshua Bassett, Rachel Bilson, Michael Ian Black, Rachel Bloom, Gina Carano, RuPaul, Taye Diggs, , Lil Rel Howery, Bindi and Robert Irwin, NeNe Leakes, Thomas Lennon, Joel McHale, Olivia Rodrigo, Eli Roth, Kristen Schaal, Paul Scheer, Jenny Slate, Raven Symoné, Reggie Watts and Billy Dee Williams set to appear in subsequent episodes.

Muppets Now and Earth to Ned are both streaming NOW on Disney+.

Earth To Ned Reviews!

Earth To Ned premieres tomorrow and a few early reviews are in.

The series revolves around Ned as he hosts a talk show in order to find out more earth as he decides weather to invade our planet or blow it up.

Slashfilm calls it a "Delightfully Quirky and Funny Talk Show."

Mike Celestino at Laughing Place says "The biggest compliment I can give to Earth to Ned is that it feels like something Jim Henson would have created had he survived to see the streaming era– a fun and slightly edgy (though thoroughly family-friendly) take on the contemporary talk-show format."
Collider gave Earth To Ned an "A" and says it's "easily the weirdest talk show on the market and a total triumph. It’s as joyous as it is bizarre."

Attractions Magazine says it's "a delightful, somewhat edgy addition to Disney+."

Our friends at ToughPigs say "the show itself is a strange combination of scripted comedy with improv interviews." "But the semi-improvisational nature of the show leads to some off-kilter pacing and inconsistencies, and there are very few genuine laughs."

Find out for yourself if this new Henson company show is worth what's left of your precious time on earth when Earth To Ned premieres tomorrow on Disney+.

Look Inside The Dark Crystal: Book of Opposites!

Back in June, we told you about the upcoming The Dark Crystal: Book of Opposites.

Now, thanks to our friends at Insight Editions, we have a look a few pages inside the book itself.

This colorfully illustrated board book will guide children to help Jen, Kira, and their friends learn about opposites by pointing out the differences between the kind Gelflings and the evil Skeksis. Concepts like fast and slow, light and dark, big and small will be revealed through touch and feel elements.

Illustrated by Bill Robinson, The Dark Crystal: Touch and Feel Book of Opposites will be available October 20th and can be pre-ordered now through Amazon.
