RIP Bernard Shaw (1940-2022)

Former CNN newscaster Bernard Shaw has died. 


Shaw worked at CNN from 1980 until he retired in 2001. 



He appeared on Larry King Live on  April 1, 1994 in a pre-recorded segment with Gonzo and later made a cameo as himself in the "Coolio and Don Rickles" episode of Muppets Tonight

DVR: New Sesame Street CNN COVID Town Hall!

Sesame Street has teamed up with CNN for another Town Hall about COVID vaccines, The ABC's of COVID Vaccines. 

Do you or your little ones have questions about the COVID-19 vaccines? Join your favorite furry friends for The ABC's of COVID Vaccines a special town hall hosted by Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Erica Hill, airing this Saturday, 11/6 at 8:30am ET on CNN.

Sesame Street and CNN Teach "The ABCs of Back to School"!

Sesame Street and CNN are teaming up again for a new Town Hall special tackling the situations kids will encounter as they head back-to-school this year. Topics will include everything from staying healthy in classrooms to making the most of remote learning,

Sesame Street Muppets join school-aged children in a variety of learning environments, with Elmo going to preschool during the week, Big Bird in hybrid learning, and Rosita fully remote. The trio will be joined by Abby Cadabby and her brother Rudy, Super Grover, and other friends from Sesame Street, along with Sesame Workshop’s Vice President and Education Publisher for Sesame Learning Akimi Gibson.
The special will stream live without requiring a log-in on CNN.com’s homepage and across mobile devices via CNN’s apps for iOS and Android. It can also be viewed on CNNgo (at CNN.com/go on your desktop, smartphone, and iPad and via CNNgo apps for Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast, and Android TV) and will be available on demand to subscribers via cable/satellite systems, CNNgo platforms, and CNN mobile apps.

DVR Arlet: Sesame Street & CNN Come Together to Confront Racism!

Last weekend as Sesame Street was set join CNN for a second town hall about COVID-19, peaceful protest turned into riots as America's anger and heartbreak over the killing of yet another black man at the hands of police boiled over.

Now, instead of doing another COVID special CNN and Sesame Street are refocusing their second town hall to address racism.


Big Bird will join CNN commentator Van Jones and CNN anchor and national correspondent Erica Hill to moderate the event.
Elmo, Abby Cadabby, and Rosita will be joining them from Sesame Street, as will experts answering questions submitted by families.

The town hall will air on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Español. It will stream live on CNN.com's homepage and across mobile devices via CNN's apps, without requiring a cable log-in.

The 60-minute special Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism. A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Families will air on Saturday, June 6, at 10 a.m. ET.

Sesame Street Teams Up With CNN to Teach the ABC’s of COVID-19!

Sesame Street has partnered with CNN to teach kids and parents the ABC’s of COVID-19. 


According to CNN, The ABC's of Covid 19: A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Parents "will tackle issues including education, anxiety, screen time and playdates."

Big Bird will moderate the 90-minute town hall style event with CNN's chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta and national correspondent Erica Hill.

A panel of experts will be joined by Sesame Street's own Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Rosita and Grover, who will be answering questions submitted by families.

Kids and parents can submit questions to CNN's website.

The ABC's of Covid 19: A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Parents will air this Saturday, April 25th at 9 am EST on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Español.

It will also be streamed live on CNN.com's homepage and across CNN's apps, without requiring a cable log-in. 

You can also watch on CNNgo, and subscribers to cable/satellite systems can watch it on-demand.
