Muppet Stuff Video: Disney Exclusives!

In our latest video, we're diving into the latest exclusive Muppet merchandise and experiences straight from the Disney Parks and beyond!

From the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, we take a look at the limited-edition Muppet Labs collection only available at the park featuring Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker. 

 

From Mickey’s of Glendale, we’ve got an in-depth look at two incredible Muppet collections: The Muppets Studio Collection released at Destination D23  – including apparel and collectibles and highly collectible Mahna Mahna Collection, featuring vibrant designs, and apparel based on the iconic sketch.

New Mickey's of Glendale Exclusive D23 Muppets Studio Merch!

Disney is beginning to unveil the exclusives that will be available at Destination D23 which includes a selection of Muppet Studio items. 

According to the official Disney Parks Blog, in celebration of the  #TheMuppets70 campaign,  Mickey’s of Glendale will have "not one, but three exclusive Muppets-themed drops."

The Muppets Studio Black & Gold Collection

A sleek lineup featuring the iconic studio logo on a classic crew cap and all-new Spirit Jersey.

Kermit Takeover Capsule

A soft, summery lime green takeover starring everyone’s favorite frog.

The Muppets 70: #1–35 Collection 

Inspired by the first 35 characters spotlighted in the anniversary campaign, this nostalgic collection features cozy apparel and fun home goods.

Much of the merchandise was designed by Producer for The Muppets Studio, Dani Iglesias.

Disney Parks Blog, asked Dani about the collection: 

“If you had told me as a kid that someday I’d be designing for The Muppets, I’d never have believed you,” Dani said. “My design process is all about keeping one foot in the past and one foot in the future — honoring the history of these beloved characters but also allowing the franchise to evolve.”

And when asked which item she’s most excited about?

“There’s a stunning sweatshirt for the 70th anniversary that we’ve been working on for almost a year,” she said. “It’s got over a dozen characters in the Muppet Show-style arches. It’s so soft and cozy — it’s definitely going in my closet!”

Kermit Promotes Disney+ at Destination D23!

Now only did Disney's Destination D23 convention this weekend unveil a slew of Muppet merchandise, on Sunday Kermit himself made an appearance to promote some of the many Muppet offerings on Disney+.

Kermit appeared about the 20min in to the over 3 hour video, but we have just the Kermit and Muppet portion for you below:

To promote Muppets Haunted Mansion, Kermit presented bloopers and a clip from the Disney+ series Disney Insider about the making of Muppets Haunted Mansion.

You can watch the entire Disney Insider - Muppets Haunted Mansion segment with producer/writer/performer Bill Barretta and production designer Darcy Provost, along with Imagineer Kim Irvine on Disney+.

Also of note, it seems that Disney+ has reinstated their Muppets Collection.

For those unaware, when Disney+ launched on November 19th 2019, The Muppets were featured in a collection of their movies and specials available on the platform then for some reason it was removed. But rejoice as The Muppets Collection in back!

Not only is Disney+'s Muppet Collection back, it now includes A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa. Below is Disney's new promo celebrating The Muppets official streaming home:
