Jim Henson's Dark Crystal Tales Now Available!

Jim Henson's Dark Crystal Tales, author/ illustrator Cory Godbey's follow up to last year's
Jim Henson's Labyrinth Tales, is now available.

"Feat for the Skekis", "Circles of Kindness and "Fizzgig's Mighty Quest" are Tales' three short stories.

Once again Godbey's artwork is spectacular. I particularly like the comic and sympathetic way he makes us feel for the usually fearsome Garthin in "Feat for the Skekis."

It seems that Archaia, along with their serialized sequel comic "Power of the Dark Crystal", will also release a children's book entitled Jim Henson’s Dark Crystal Tales.

It's no coincidence that the name may remind you of last fall's Jim Henson’s Labyrinth Tales. Writer and artist Cory Godbey, who also wrote and illustrated Labyrinth Tales will now take on stories inside The Dark Crystal's land of Thra.

According to Nerdist, one tale is about "when a little bird gets hurt in a Skeksis net, Jen takes it to the Mystics for healing and learns how “every act of kindness grows like ripples in a lake.”

The 48 page, full color hardcover, graphic novel will be released in comic shops July 26 and August 1 in bookstores.
