Muppet Show Tumblers!

Good news! While Diamond Select Toys' Muppet action figures have been pushed back, their new Muppet Show tumblers are now available! The glasses were set to be released in August, so this is MUCH earlier than expected.

The fast-food inspired glassware of yesteryear feature Kermit, Fozzie, Bunsen, Beaker and the Swedish Chef, as well as many other Muppet favorites. We now have our first glimpse at the backs of 3 out of the 4 as well!

Muppets Muppet Show Kermit Glass Tumbler:

Muppets Muppet Show Bunsen & Beaker Glass Tumbler:

Just like Diamond Selects previous Muppet glasses, each glass costs $9.99 and comes in a full-color window box.

Each is available from Amazon at the links above and at Entertainment Earth.

I Tumble For Ya!

Fresh off thier recently released Muppet Show pint glasses, Diamond Select is back with more Muppet Show inspired drinkware - Muppet Show tumblers!

What's the difference between a tumbler and pint? A few dribbles I guess.

These glasses are meant to invoke the style of "fast food glassware of yesteryear" though some of the images/ compositions seen to work better than others.

The ones that work best feature one or two characters, like Bunsen and Beaker:

When more characters are added though, the compositions become less focused.

Such as the Kermit, Piggy, Rowlf, and Scooter glass:

and the one featuring Fozzie, Gonzo, Camilla, Lew Zealand, Statler, and Waldorf:

It may be one of those once you see it I can't be unseen things, but what's with the black hole in the logo's O? I'm pretty sure I know why the designer chose to that, but Kermit, a red curtain, or just clear might have worked better.

I think if Diamond stuck to one or two characters per glass like they did with their Back to The future set:

Or focused on one main character with others in the background, like their Ghostbusters tumblers, the Muppet set would have looked a bit nicer.

All in all though their, not bad looking with Bunsen & Beaker and Swedish Chef being the standouts. The glasses will be available individually available early next year, but you can pre-order them from Amazon using the links above.

Muppet Show Pint Glasses Coming in 2016!

The Muppet Show celebrates its 40th Anniversary next year and it looks like you'll be able to toast the occasion in style!

A new set of pint glasses is set to be released in 2016, and instead of focusing on the
characters or using images we've seen too many times, each glass pays tribute to a recurring sketch!

The first glass, seen above, is of the classic Muppet Show opening. Not just the logo but all the wonderful design flourishes seen as each episode began.
Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem get a groovy glass with their logo.

The Muppet Labs logo is the only glass that features any characters, as Buns and Beaker are part of the logo itself.
And finally, you'll be able to hoist a glass to their latest adventures of the Swinetrek crew and with this Pigs in Spaaaaaaaace glass! Be sure to fill it with a dark the beverage, and it'll look just like space!

Each glass will come in a full-color window box for display purposes as well. You can pre-order each glass at Entertainment Earth using the links above.
