Ajijaak on Turtle Island

About the show:
Kites morph into soaring birds and branches transform into a gentle deer. Visionary puppetry artist Heather Henson and Grammy Award winner Ty Defoe bring together an ensemble of North American First Nations Peoples to tell the tale of Ajijaak, a young whooping crane who must face her first migration south. Indigenous songs, languages and dance weave together in a spectacle of artistry to create this affecting fable about the dangerous effects of climate change on animals and our Mother Earth. With puppets from Jim Henson's Creature Shop and music by Ty Defoe, Grammy nominee Dawn Avery and Kevin Tarrant of The SilverCloud Singers, AJIJAAK ON TURTLE ISLAND takes flight in a celebration of the natural world.

Sing the Clouds Away With Sesame Street!

Sesame Street wants you to help singing the clouds away. The folks behind our favorite street are putting together a viral video and they want their adult fans, and a few kids, to sing it's iconic theme!

What would Sesame Street be without the iconic song "Sunny Days?" Sort of like Oscar without his trash can, or Cookie Monster without his cookies, or Sesame Street without friends like you! It's the kind of tune you can't help but sing along to-and that's exactly what we want you to do!

We're asking our friends, 18 YEARS AND OLDER (UNLESS A PARENT CONSENTS IN WRITING), near and far to submit a video of themselves singing "Sunny Days," in honor of our 50th Anniversary and #ThisIsMyStreet celebrations across the country. Your submission may be included in a new music video celebrating this classic song that, generations later, continues to bring people together.

Here are the rules:

Join us as we sing our way to where the air is sweet...

But first…carefully read the Terms and Conditions before submitting anything…
And remember:
  • It is in our sole discretion whether or not to include your video within our commemorative music video.

  • In order to submit a video featuring you and/or your child, you must be at least 18 years of age or older. You must have the legal authority to consent to the appearance of the child in the video.

  • Anyone featured in your video must sign (and if a child, the guardian must sign on behalf of the child) our Terms and Conditions before we can include your submission in our music video.

  • No video submission will be considered without acceptance of our Terms and Conditions. If we, in our sole discretion, select your video submission, we will send you a version of the Terms and Conditions and you will have to provide us with a signed copy of those Terms and Conditions.

  • All submissions will be owned in its entirety by us and it will not be returned.

  • Here are some technical considerations to keep in mind while recording your video:

  • Talk/sing directly into the camera.

  • Speak/sing loud enough so that we can hear you in the video.

  • Do not wear white, small intricate patterns or any logos.

  • Ensure that the recorded environment is free of all third party logos, products, and content.

  • Light the video well enough so we can see your face.

  • Ensure that the video is free of background noise, such as music or TV. We want you to sing this a capella, so you should not play the song in the background. You may wear headphones in the video if you need to reference the musical track as you sing. A link to the reference video and full song lyrics is above. Ensure that any pets are not in the room while you're recording as pet sounds can be distracting.

  • Ensure that the video has no text or graphics is superimposed or overlaid on the video and that the date and time stamp do not appear anywhere within the video.

  • If using a cell phone, ensure that you record the video horizontally.

  • Delay your performance by 10 seconds after you hit the record button.

  • Review the video to ensure compliance with all Terms and Conditions as well as the requirements stated above before submitting.
* Note: If you have a tripod, use it to keep the camera steady while recording yourself.

The most important thing is to have fun with this! You have a great personality and we want it to shine through! While we cannot guarantee that we will use your video, we are so excited to be able to celebrate our 50th anniversary with you!

To submit your video, head over to Sesame's Google Doc page!
