Sesame Street won big at this year's Daytime Emmy Awards. Between the Creative Arts ceremony and the - not quite ready for prime time - streamed awards show, the venerable series picked up 6 awards including:
- Outstanding Preschool Series
- Outstanding Writing in a Children’s Series
- Outstanding Directing in a Children’s Series
- Outstanding Achievement in Multiple Camera Editing
- Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing – Live Action
- Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Live Action
They lost Achievement in lighting direction to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "Wheel of Fortune," Achievement in costume design/styling to "Spooksville," and their Original song 's "ABC's of Moving," and "Rhymes With Mando," lost to "30,000 Reasons to Love Me," from "Let's Make a Deal."
In other Henson Emmy news, despite being nominated, "Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train" lost Writing in a preschool animated program to Nickelodeon's "Bubble Guppies".
