Muppet Babies Reboot Gets Premiere Date and Soundtrack!

Disney Junior announced that the new Muppet Babies will debut as two back-to-back episodes on March 23 at 10 a.m. EDT on Disney Channel and on the DisneyNOW app.

It also appears like the show won't just take place inside the nursery. New settings announced include Kermit’s bouncy pond, Piggy’s dressing room, Gonzo’s chicken coop, Summer’s art table, Fozzie’s stage, and the treehouse.

We also learned that while Skeeter, won't be a regular character, Statler and Waldorf, Bunsen and Beaker, Rowlf, Rizzo, and Dr. Teeth will be joining the series as guest stars. No word yet if they will be in baby or adult form.

Uncle Statler and Waldorf on the original series
Of that guest list Rizzo is the only Muppet not to appear on the original series.Dr. Teeth, appeared in regular adult puppet form in the 5th season episode "Muppets Not Included,"  Rowlf, of course was a series regular, and Statler and Waldorf made a few appearances

late in the series' run.

They also announced that a soundtrack will be released on February 23... That's TODAY!

While we don'gt have a link yet, we'll update this post when one is made available.

UPDATE:
You can now get the entire soundtrack through SpotifyApple Music, iTunes, and Amazon. So far no physical media release as been announced.

And look for the new Muppet Babies March 23 at 10 a.m. EDT on Disney Channel!
