Sesame Street Records to Be Relaunched!

Variety is reporting that Sesame Workshop and Warner Music have inked a deal to relaunch Sesame Street Records.

The multi-year deal covers Sesame Street's deep catalog of recordings as well as brand-new compilation titles that will be available on streaming, download, CD and vinyl.

Plans for the label include: "previously unreleased music from current and past seasons of the show, including appearances by pop stars and other notable celebrities; new thematic compilations aligned with educational topics featured in current and upcoming seasons of Sesame Street; and new cover songs and parodies that originate outside of the TV show."

Warner Music Group’s Arts Music division will release the new titles in early 2019.

The deal marks the first time new music from “Sesame Street” will be made available to the public under a consistent schedule of releases in more than 20 years.

A series of “Letters” albums debuted in September, a new holiday compilation "It's Christmas Time!" was just released, and “All-Time Favorites” 1 , 2, will be available by the end of the week.

All are available to order from the links above.
