Tahj Mowry Joins Muppets Mayhem!

Variety is reporting that Tahj Mowry has been added to the cast of Disney+'s upcoming Electric Mayhem series The Muppets Mayhem.

Mowry will star as Gary “Moog” Moogowski. He is a lovably awkward die-hard superfan of the musical act, he loyally follows them from gig to gig. Moog is an avid audiophile who knows his way around a mixing board. Since he is a walking encyclopedia of the musical act, he’s often able to offer advice or guidance to Nora when she’s having trouble wrangling, communicating with or even understanding them. As Moog continues to work closely with Nora (Singh), he begins to hope that maybe she’ll see him less as a goofy sidekick and more as a leading man.

We'll keep you posted are more information about series as it comes together.

RIP Christopher Finch (1939-2022)

Sad news to report. Late last night word spread that author Christopher Finch had died.

Finch was known for his books about popular culture including 1981's Of Muppets and Men, the definitive book about the making of The Muppet Show, 1983's The Making of the Dark Crystal, and the fan favorite, Jim Henson: The Works, which was released in 1993.

Christopher Finch was born on the island of Guernsey, in the English Channel. After studying painting at Chelsea Art School in London, and a period in Paris, he began to write about the contemporary art scene for magazines ranging from Art & Artists and Art International to the British edition of Vogue.

In 1968, Finch became an associate curator at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. From there he moved to New York, and returned to freelancing, contributing articles to Arts, Art News, Art in America and other periodicals.

Finch wrote his first book about pop culture, The Art of Walt Disney in 1973. The book was a huge success, selling over half a million copies, and was expanded in two subsequent editions. He also wrote the books Rainbow: the Stormy Life of Judy Garland, Norman Rockwell's America, and two separate books on artist Chuck Close.

Christopher Finch was 83.

Happy April Fools' Day!

Happy April Fools Day!

This year we decided to something a little different. Instead of showing fake products or having a Henson franchise take over the page. We decide to show off real products that, while they aren't part of the official Henson Universe, still have Jim Henson connections.

Both ALF and Ghostbusters were executive-produced by Bernie Brillstein, Jim Henson's long time manger!

And not only did long time Muppet performer Mike Quinn work on Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but Super 7 is working on a line of Electric Mayhem ReAction figures as well!

Mike Quinn Puppeteering "Roger"

So while you may have thought our April Fools joke was that we WEREN'T sharing Muppet stuff, we kinda were the whole time!

Happy April Fools Day!

Super 7 Unveils Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction Figures!

Super 7 unveiled their new line of Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figures!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction Figure Wave 1 - Roger Rabbit

Roger Rabbit lives for two things: to make people laugh, and his beloved wife Jessica. This 3.75” articulated Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure of Roger Rabbit looks willing to have a refrigerator dropped on him repeatedly if it will make you chuckle, and comes with handcuffs accessory. Thwart the nefarious plans of Judge Doom and Cloverleaf Industries all over again, with the Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure of Roger Rabbit!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction Figure Wave 1 - Jessica Rabbit

She’s not bad, she’s just drawn that way. Jessica Rabbit may have more curves than Lombard Street but she would never play patty-cake with anyone other than her honey bunny Roger. This 3.75” articulated Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure of Jessica Rabbit looks like she’d do anything to help clear Roger’s name, including whacking him with the included frying pan accessory. Thwart the nefarious plans of Judge Doom and Cloverleaf Industries all over again, with the Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure of Jessica Rabbit!
Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction Figure Wave 1 - Judge Doom

Judge Doom is ready to wipe out Toon Town and all of the Toons in it to make room for some newfangled kind of road called a “High-way.” This 3.75” articulated Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure features Judge Doom in his human form and comes with the cartoon boot he uses to demonstrate how The Dip can kill Toons. Judge Doom is as evil as Roger Rabbit is sweet and zany, so add the Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure of Judge Doom to your collection to keep things from getting totally out of hand!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction Figure Wave 1 - Smarty

Smarty may be street-smart, but the sarcastic, wise-cracking leader of the Toon Patrol isn’t exactly the sharpest tack in the drawer. This 3.75” articulated Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure of Smarty looks every bit the wise-guy mobster he thinks he is, and comes with a plunger to keep that nincompoop Stupid from laughing himself to death. Bumbling evil minions make for great comic relief, so be sure to scoop up the Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure of Smarty to keep the laughs coming.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction Figure Wave 1 - Stupid

Let’s face it, Stupid isn’t exactly cut out to be a member of the Toon Patrol, but bless his simple little heart, he does (usually unsuccessfully) try. This 3.75” articulated Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure of Stupid illustrates that his moniker might be unfortunate but accurate, and comes with a bat accessory that may actually be smarter than he is. Bumbling evil minions make for great comic relief, so be sure to scoop up the Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction figure of Stupid to keep the laughs coming.

You can collect all the Who Framed Roger Rabbit ReAction Figures and more at Super 7.
