With the Electric Mayhem taking over Rock 'n' Rollercoaster this month, it seemed like a good time to redo our 2023 video showcasing The Muppets Mayhem exclusives that included some unforeseen technical issues. So we not only remixed it, but added a few new items released after the initial video was made as well. Enjoy and ROCK On!

See Muppet Vehicles In The Walt Disney Archives!

D23 takes fans inside the Walt Disney Archives and shows off some of the legendary items including two Muppet vehicles. 

Have you ever wanted to go inside the Walt Disney Archives? To celebrate the Archives’ 55th anniversary, the D23 Inside Disney team takes us inside the warehouse for a special look at 23 must-see items in their collection.

You can see the Electric Mayhem 's van from The Muppets Mayhem and Le Maximum from Muppets Most Wanted at the 2:48 mark below.

"Muppets Mayhem" Nominated for 2024 Kids’ Choice Awards!

Even though is was unceremoniously canceled, The Muppets Mayhem is still being nominated for awards.

This time it's for two Kids’ Choice Awards. One for "Favorite Kids TV Show" and another for Lilly Singh's performance as Nora.

Beginning today, fans in the U.S. can cast their votes across 33 categories on the official Kids’ Choice Awards website, KidsChoiceAwards.com. International markets will also open voting today, including additional regional categories.

The awards will be presented Saturday, July 13, at 8PM on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TVLand, CMT and MTV2.

Muppets Mayhem and More Win Kidscreen Awards!

Last night, winners of the this year's Kidscreen Awards were announced with The Muppets Mayhem, Sesame Street, and Helpsters taking home trophies.

The Muppets Mayhem took home three awards - Best New Series and Best Live-Action Series in Kids Programming, as well as a Creative Talent Award for Best Music.

Sesame Workshop's Helpsters won Best Live-Action Series beating their other nominated program Sesame Street. 

Former Sesame Street cast member Sonia Manzano's series Alma’s Way won Best Inclusivity

also beating Sesame Street in that category. 

Sesame Street did win for Best Holiday or Special Episode "Grandparents' Day", Best Podcast "Good Night, World!", and best DIGITAL—PRESCHOOL Best Web/App Series—Branded "Tamir on the Street" and Best YouTube Channel

Muppets Mayhem & Sesame Street Win Emmys!

The 2nd Annual Children's & Family Emmy® Awards Emmy's were held last night and the Sesame Street and The Muppets Mayhem were the big winners. 

Sesame Street won for outstanding Writing for a Preschool Series, Outstanding Puppet Design and Styling and received an Honorable Mention for their Youtube short Sesame Street: Quest for Health Equity.

Sesame's directing team of Ken Diego, Shannon Flynn, Todd E. James, Jack Jameson, Benjamin Lehmann, Julie LoRusso, Noel MacNeal, Linda Mendoza, Alan Muraoka, Lily Olszewski, Scott Preston, Brittany Scott Smith, Matt Vogel won for best Directing for a Preschool Series.

Ryan Dillon won for Best Puppetry Performance as Elmo and Sesame Street won Best Preschool Series.

Veteran Sesame Street producer Carol-Lynn Parente and Apple TV's Tara Sorensen was inducted in the Academy's Sliver Circle.

The big news though is that The Muppets Mayhem took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s or Family Viewing Series despite Disney canceling the series.

The trailer for the series also recently won a Clio award as well.

MAJOR BUMER - The Muppets Mayhem Cancelled!

Like, what a bummer man. According to industry sources at TVLine and Deadline, Disney+ has cancelled The Muppets Mayhem after one season. 

Disney+ doesn't release viewership information, so we don't know how many viewers checked out the show. 

The show premiered in May and was followed shortly by the writers and actor's strikes.

It's a shame that we won't see more of this story or see the band's tour to promote their first album.

 

Henson Related Shows Nominated for Multiple Children’s & Family Emmys!

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominations for this year’s 2nd Annual Children’s & Family Emmys.

While no date or place has been set, last year winners were announced during two ceremonies—one focused on creative and technical arts, and the other to performances and programming on December 10 and 11.

Also of note, earlier this year the Academy created two new Emmy categories - puppetry performance and puppet design/styling and a public service initiative Emmy for campaigns that include both an on-air and off-air component.

Muppets Mayhem Soundtrack Walmart Exclusive Picture Disc!

Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem's first album came out earlier this summer in both a regular and Target exclusive. Did you wonder why it wasn't also available at Walmart?

Well we did, and now we know why. Walmart just announced they're going to have their own exclusive picture disc feature the band.

Walmart's listing has conflicted dates for it's release. It'll either be released as part of their Collector Con new releases on 10/13 beginning at 7am PST or on 10/27.
