2022 Henson Calendars!

2022 just began and, as usual, we have our first new Muppet merchandise of the year (yes we know they were technically rereleased last year).

Once again Insight Editions has a "new" Jim Henson's Labyrinth calendar for 2022. 

Jim Henson's Labyrinth 2022 Wall Calendar features images from the iconic Jim Henson movie, now celebrating its 36th anniversary.

I say "new" because it's the same calendar they've been releasing for years with the same layout and images just in a different order.

Above you can see the 2022 version and below 2021's.  

I think Insight must really hate October, because each year they continually have the junk lady representing it. 

It's such a shame because Insight has been releasing so many excellent Henson books over the last few year - featuring all kinds of rare images - so it's rather mind boggling why they continue to release this same Labyrinth calendar year after year. It's like the people in charge of their calendars are stuck in their own Labyrinth or something. 

Insight, if you're reading this, put down the peach and pick up a copy of Labyrinth: The Ultimate Visual History where you'll find MANY other fantastic images. 

If this all sounds familiar it's because we said something similar last year, 2020, and 2019 to no avail. Anyway...

Jim Henson's Labyrinth 2022 Wall Calendar features images from the iconic Jim Henson movie. Almost 40 years later we're still fascinated and in love with the iconic film. Labyrinth is a seminal film for an entire generation of fans, who are now passing their love for this movie on to their own children. Starring a young Jennifer Connelly as a babysitter who gets more than she bargained for when the idle wish she makes for her annoying baby brother to be taken away is granted by an evil goblin king...played by David Bowie. Sarah (Connelly) is given 13 hours to solve the titular Labyrinth, or else risk losing her brother forever. Directed by Jim Henson, and featuring creatures created by the world famous Henson Creature Shop, Labyrinth is a spectacle unlike any other.

Sadly, once again there is not a new Muppet calendar but you can reuse ones from 1983, 2005, and 2011.
