The Muppets Get a New logo!

The Muppets have a new logo!

The Muppets Studio releases this statement on social media to unveil the new logo:
The Muppets Studio is pleased to present a brand-new logo for The Muppets franchise to represent Kermit and the gang. In the coming months, you’ll see this replace the former logo introduced in 2011.

You can see the new logo in person as part of a
PhotoPass Magic Shot with Sam Eagle’s podium July 1-5 at Walt Disney World.

The new logo replaces the one introduced by Disney to promote the 2011 movie The Muppets, which had a Kermitized "M" and with the rest of letters bold and black. The logo was somewhat controversial at the time, as it did not match the title of the movie itself.

That title (below) was an homage to the classic Muppet logo introduced in the 70's. Which it seems it Disney and The Muppet Studio are going back to.

This feels like another great step for the franchise. You may recall that just last year they changed the logo for The Muppets Studio in a similar fashion as well.

A logo may seem the a small thing, but it's needs to represent a brand on it's own. It's great to see a classic more whimsical logo again.
