Emmet and Ma Otter Replicas Available to Pre-Order!

Plastic Meatball unveiled at San Diego Comic Con that their Emmet and Ma Otter replicas are now available to Pre-Order!

Below are the details:

Jim Henson's holiday classic comes to life with these deluxe plush photo replicas of Emmet and Ma Otter. Using premium materials, we've replicated the look and feel of the original characters to make them as authentic as possible. Make Emmet and Ma a permanent part of your holiday decor with these charming conversation starters.

Emmet Otter:

Stands 21" tall
Jointed hip articulation
Removable jacket, shirt, pants, suspenders and hat
Includes a stand for easy poseability

Ma Otter:
Stands 25" tall
Jointed hip articulation
Removable dress, bloomers, shawl, and hat
Includes a stand for easy poseability

If you thought those looked good, they also unveiled new brand new prototypes that have even more detail.

 

Both packaged in a deluxe gift box. 

You can pre-order them from Plastic Meatball. They hope to have them in your hands (and by your washtubs) by Christmas.

They also showed off the first look at wave two of the Emmet Otter actions figures featuring The River Bottom Nightmare band's Chuck and Stanley Weasel in 6" size. 

It also looks like they'll be re-releasing Emmett and Ma as 6" figures as well.

First Look: Funko Pop Kermit with Mug and Urdu Mystery Plush!

It appears some new Kermit items are on the way!

The image above was posted on social media over the weekend and as you can see Funko is planning a new Kermit Pop figure featuring a scrunchy face Kermit holding his monogramed mug.

The box reveals that it's a continuation of their POP! Muppets line and features the updated Muppet logo. 

The photo also shows a selection of mini Kermit plush wearing shirts with different words on them

Some are generic, like "Cool", while others are more Kermit specific like, "Yaaaaay!!!"

These look to be blind boxed mystery plush by Udru. The boxes can be seen in the photo as well.

No word on release dates yet, but we reached out to our contacts for additional information. 

First Look - NECA Dinosaurs Action Figures!

NECA reveled at San Diego Comic Con today that they’re going to release action figures based on the Henson / Disney series Dinosaurs. 

So far only Baby and Earl “Not the Mama” Sinclair have been revealed, though it’s possible more figures will be announced.

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock - First Look & Behind the Scenes!

With only a few days away until the premiere of Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock,  AppleTV  released a "first look" at the series. 

The video includes interviews with Halle Stanford, Lisa Henson, Dave Goelz, Jordan Lockhart, Karen Prell, Ed Helms, Daveed Diggs, Cynthia Erivo, John Tartaglia, Donna Kimball, Aymee Garcia, Dan Garza, and many more of the creative team bringing Fraggle Rock "back" to life. 

It also features behind the scenes footage of the puppeteers and a touching tribute to Jim Henson!

First Look at Muppets Haunted Mansion!

The Muppets released the first two images from their upcoming special Muppets Haunted Mansion.  

The first shot has Gonzo and Pepe decked out for what appears to be a lavish event in the Haunted Mansion. 

While the second shows Kermit and Miss Piggy dressing up as one another (with Fozzie in the background) as part of a costume party.

Muppets Haunted Mansion will be released exclusively on Disney+ this fall.

Pre-Toy Fair Sneak Peaks!

Ahead of New York Toy Fair is this weekend, a few Henson related images have started to leak out. 

First up is McFarlane Toy's new "Magic Dance" Jareth figure.

While he's doesn't actually dance, this version of the Goblin King does come with a small Goblin, 

and his staff:

Not official date has been announced, but we're told he'll be released around June. 

The other major reveal is Funko's Jim Henson Pop! figure.

We've heard rumors about the figure for months, and its glad to see they are coming true.


The Jim Henson Pop! Figure will come in two versions - one with Jim & Kermit, 

and another with Jim and Ernie - which looks like it's a Target exclusive.

We'll keep you posted as we get more info on these items and more at Toy Fair this weekend.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Cast and First Images Revealed!

Netflix unveiled the first official photos plus the cast/ voices for the upcoming The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance!

The voice cast is lead by Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nathalie Emmanuel, as Rian, Deet, and Brea - three Gelfling heroes.
